The Kola Peninsula is undoubtedly one of the most exclusive and unexplored areas for trout and salmon fishing that we can find in Europe.

Fishing on this trip takes place on the upper section of Varzina River, a place only accessible by air, located about 250 km from the port city of Murmansk.

The Varzina River is an hour’s flight from the heliport located 3 hours from the city of Murmansk and the journey is made in the legendary Soviet Mi-8 helicopter. The adventure begins with the journey to the lodge itself and I can assure you that it is a trip that will be etched in your memory for life.

An incredible experience, without a doubt, both for the logistics of the trip itself and for the quality and quantity of large trout found in this river.

The occupancy of the lodge is limited which means that the place has a very low number of rods fishing the river, and more fish and more fun for you!

Trips to this destination must be booked in most cases two years in advance.

Here you can find the itinerary for the weekly fishing trip at our trout camp in the middle of the Kola Peninsula.

Please note, trips always begin on Sunday, so you have to get Murmansk and overnight in the city the day before (Saturday).

Day 1 (Saturday)

Arrival day in Murmansk

Transfer to the Hotel by taxi

Overnight at Hotel

Day 2 (Sunday)

After having breakfast transfer to Murmansk airport when our representative will meet you.

Transfer by road to the heliport and fly to the Camp

Days 3 to 8

6 full fishing days. No guide is needed to fish the Varzina. The Camp manager will provide the group instructions about where you have to fish

Day 9

After having breakfast transfer by helicopter to the city of Murmansk

Overnight at Hotel in Murmansk

Day 10

Transfer to Murmansk airport
