On the opposite side of the Mexican Caribbean you will find the top class region for Roosterfish fishing: Baja California. The Gulf of California is well known as the best area in the world to catch Roosterfish, because it is a natural resident of the area, and you could find them during the whole year, being the months of May, June and July the top ones.

Most of the fishing day will occur less than a quarter of a mile away from the coast. The diversity of species and the natural beauty you will find here are unbeatable.

On top of that, in June and July we will find a good population of Mahi Mahi, White Tuna and Sailfish.

If you are deciding to take this trip to Baja California because of the weather, we will recommend you to come in October. The thermometers will get up to 80 °F, which makes it pleasant and still warm under the hitting sun in the desert. That’s when the species, which rather swims in its warm water, come back home on its annual migration and eventually make a stop in their way to show a little up, before their well deserved winter break.

On the other hand, we would advise you to avoid visiting Baja California during September, because it is the hurricane season. But comparing to other areas of the Caribbean or Mexican Coast, the season here is much lighter.
