The Napiarissat river isn’t for everyone. Not because it is challenging to fish, or because the hiking is tough – the fishing is spectacular, and the hiking couldn’t be easier. But when we were granted concession on this gem of a river in late 2017
We offer the perfect setting for a family or a group of friends wanting to fish one of the best rivers in Greenland without having to share the water with anyone else!
A day of fly fishing on a river that’s full of possibly the strongest species of anadromous fish swimming anywhere. Imagine having such a river all to yourself. If you fish with someone, they’re friends. If you meet someone on the river, they’re friends. And if you need a little solitude, there is more than enough water to find it.
The camp is located close to the river mouth. During an incoming tide, fresh char can be caught as they pass through the tidal sea pool next to camp. Some fish will hold here for a while, but most of them continue their journey upriver.
If you hike far enough, there are two shorter sections of river between three lakes, the third of those mark the ending of the fishable water on Napiarissat.

Please note the availability is very limited and trips must be booked a year in advance
Morning flight from Copenhagen to Sisimiut via Kangerlussuaq, transfer to Hotel Sisimiut, afternoon sight seeing around or relaxing at the hotel or fly fishing for cods under the bridge in town.
Boat transfer to the Camp in the morning (2-3 hours). Settling in the camp. Fishing the rest of the day!
Six full days (and nights) of fishing.
Boat transfer back to Hotel Sisimiut.
Morning flight back to Copenhagen.
Included:
- – Return flights Copenhaguen-Sisimiut (including domestic flights in Greenland
- – 2 Hotel nights in Sisimiut including breakfast in double room
- – Boat transfers in/out Napiarrisat Camp
- – 7 nights in the Camp including all meals in single tent (igloo)

Clients must get in Copenhagen the day before the trip start and spend one additional night after the fishing trip
