The Fyn island, located in Denmark, is well known as an unique European area for Seatrout fishing. A project carried out by the country’s governmental and scientific institutions in collaboration with fishing businesses has made this island a place where sea trout have adapted in an extraordinary way.
The long in extension and shallow water flats of this area make the landscape similar to some places you could find at the Caribbean Sea. Beaches of fine sand and crystal clear waters, perfectly able for wading, make fishing very attractive. And that makes this place the perfect destination to do that.
Once the winter is finished, the sea trout come back to the Coast after the spawning season. Then, in spring, is when we will find the highest activity, where we will find the total silvery Seatrout swimming in its waters.
In Summer, as temperatures rise, seatrout will move to deeper waters in search of cooler conditions. Despite that, it is still a season where trout fishing is doable.
At the end of August, the migration season starts. And with that comes the pre-spawning season, which is the perfect timing for finding both silver and brown seatrouts. Along with spring, these are the two key times to find big and especially active fish.
